If you are reading this, you will have opened a file (or location) in an Internet browser such as Netscape or Internet Explorer. You will also have a copy of a school assignment beside you to refer to.

You should also have with you a pen (or pencil) and paper and a computer disk.

Take note of this symbol.
It means you have to do something.
In order to take notes to be saved onto your computer disk, complete the following steps.
If you are using a Windows based computer then open Notepad. (This is the icon you are looking for.)

Remember that holding down the ALT key and pressing the TAB key will enable you to move from one program to another.

Your aim is to have Notepad running in the background so that you can cut and paste information if you need to. You are required to position the notepad screen in the top left of your PC screen to keep it out of the way and resize it so that it takes up only about 1/6th of your screen.

If you know how to do this already then do it. Otherwise look at the instructions on the next page

When you have opened Notepad then move on to the section about Learning styles and find out what type of learner you are.
